Hezbollah understands the precarious position of the army command, and asks whether the weapons confiscation of the resistance was at the discretion of him or a political decision issued by the Al-Siniora.
Hezbollah issued the following statement:
First : We understand the precarious position of the army command between President Al-Siniora and telling the truth, and we regret that we have put the army command in this embarrassment position because of superfluous government team, in dealing with political and media of the entire issue of the war in July.
Second: The statement of the Directorate of guidance recognizes that army check point confiscated weapons that were found to be belonging to the resistance, and we know that the army is acting on the basis of political decision, does the confiscation is self action made or built on the political decision of the President of the the government? We were told also by the competent authorities in the army that any other weapon trucks would be confiscated and won`t be allowed to pass, and you have to tackle the issue politically with President Siniora, note that the weapons are still confiscated so far.
Third: The competent authority in the army and the army command know all the details of serious debate and mediators who intervened with the president, Siniora that night, who insisted on his position, and how the issue was treated.
Fourth: We stop at this amount because we are concerned about the army and the lebanese view to this army even though its statement was unfair because the Directorate of the army unveil half of the truth and hid the rest, ending the subject under the title of confusion, where the fact is that there was no ambiguity.
Finally, if one day a special investigation committee is constituted, then the truth will be known by under oath testimony.
