New ministry shows Israel’s paranoia
over something that does not exist, a leading Iranian MP said here on Tuesday.
The establishment of the strategic affairs ministry is “aimed at making the world concerned about something unreal,” Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Chairman Alaeddin Borujerdi told reporters on the sidelines of a Majlis session.
The Israeli government has approved a plan to create a new ministry for strategic affairs, to be headed by a controversial ultra-nationalist, and which will be tasked mainly with addressing Iran`s nuclear program.
Iran is a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency and acts within the framework of international law, he stated.
The Zionist regime’s measure is a propaganda stunt meant to place a magnifying glass on Iran’s nuclear activities in order to find something that does not exist, the lawmaker added.
